This morning Escort released the new Redline 360c. It is an extremely impressive looking radar detector, and it retails for $749. Here are some of the key features and things to know about Escort’s new top-of-the-line radar detector.
Update: You can now read my Redline 360c review.
I’ve got my Redline 360c on order and it will be arriving tomorrow morning. As soon as it arrives I’ll be doing an unboxing livestream on YouTube. Plus this weekend I’ll be out testing the new Redline 360c against all the top options.
Until then, let’s take a look at some of the highlights from today’s official launch event. I will be testing and verifying all these claims, of course, but here’s what Escort told us about the new Redline 360c:
Redline 360c Features & Highlights
- Redline with Arrows
- Stealth, RDD immune
- New M12 platform
- Features 2 front antennas & 1 rear antenna, all with LNA’s
- M12 is like the M7 in Max Ci with some LNA changes
- Front antenna detects X/K/Ka, rear antenna only detects K/Ka
- 6 dB better sensitivity or 2x the range than the Redline EX
- Meets or exceeds the performance of remotes like Max Ci 360
- Longer range than the Uniden R7
- Better BSM filtering than Max 360c, but still has some BSM falses
- Low speed muting and automatic GPS lockouts
- Improved MRCD/CT detection, longer range, and fewer false alerts
- Bluetooth, but no open API like the Valentine 1
- WiFi for cloud integration and automatic updates, 2.4 GHz only
- New SDR architecture, detector is reconfigurable in software (I don’t think this is the same as what Radenso is doing)
- Escort is heavily advertising Artificial Intelligence for false alert filtering (using automatic GPS lockouts, updatable BSM filtering, and cloud support… again very different from Radenso who’s using neural networks and inferencing)
In short, Escort is claiming this detector will be able to do it all.
The Redline 360c should have extremely long range, excellent false alert filtering, automatic GPS lockouts, cloud integration over BT and WiFi, automatic updates, MultaRadar detection, RDD immunity, arrows, the works…
How good is it in practice, really? Read my Redline 360c review to find out. 🙂

Wow. $750. I’m sure it is awesome and does a lot of things, but is it $300 worth of an improvement over the R7? I am anxious for your tests and review. Also anxious for Radenso to deliver their new one. I love detector wars!
If it can detect MRCD & MRCT in time to save my driver license I would pay $1750 , no problem.! Are you listening Escort.???. A Valentine one Gen 2 cannot detect MRCD or MRCT,,, PERIOD.! Time will tell.
No radar detecting capability?
Did you mean “Is it detectable by Spectre Elite Radar dertector detectors, or not?”
The Red Line detectors are all undetectable
Figures, just over a week ago Escort customer service told me “There are no new detectors coming out this year”. Submitted my return after dealing with the most rude support I’ve ever encountered. Too bad support isn’t near as good as the detectors.
This Leon. So you saying that the Valentine 1 Gen 2 can’t detect the mrcd or mrct
So is this the best windshield detector? I need to buy one. Between this V1 get 2 or R7 or this one – which one?

We really need to wait for testing and the full review before we can say so. I’m finding a lot of initial issues using this detector.
I have been running the new Redline 360c for a few days now and compared to my Uniden R7, which I have moved to my F150, it has basically zero false alerts. Quite as a mouse unless real threat is present! Worth every penny I spent.

Great to hear your experience!

Can you please do a video with showing us how to setup the Redline 360c. Plus what settings you would use please. Did you do your testing last weekend?

That video will come after my testing, initial impressions, and other top priority videos. Settings we’re still experimenting with. I’ve already started posting long distance test results and rampup / arrow videos on the forums. I’m working on posting that info here next.
Watched the review for the Redline 360c and I trust Vortex platform. I tell you, I am a highly disappointed with the results. I am not drinking the Kool Aid from Escort in regards to the new Escort Redline 360c. Let’s get it fixed Escort for $749.
I ordered a RL360c and ZW5 from Escort. Received the ZW5, which of course, is useless without the RL360c. So I called Escort customer support to find out where my RL360 was in the backlog and what will happen if my RL360c arrives after the 30 day return window for the ZW5 closes.
First, it took 8 calls to just get into the Escort customer service que. 7 times, the “que was full” and the automated system hung up on me.
On the 8th time, I was lucky enough to get into the cue, with 15 people a head of me. After 2 hours and 40 minutes of being on hold, a very pleasant Escort customer service representative finally answered. 2 hours and 40 minutes! However, she had no useful information about:
1) Where was my RL360c order in the backlog que;
2) When they might receive the next batch of RL360s; or
3) When I might relieve my RL360c.
Nothing. Not even speculative, subject to change, guidance. I asked whether this would be a week, a month, or a year? Her reply was essentially that she has no information. I pointed out that Valentine was also backordered, they put a ship date on the website. (Currently 9/4/20 or earlier). She very politely told me that she has no such information. Apparently, such customer service information is on a need to know basis at Escort. Arggg.
Well…… I’m a customer and I need to know.
As a former product manager for Hewlett Packard, I can tell you that this is an excellent way to alienate your existing customer base and inhibit new customers. Conversely, just being honest with customers, even in the face of adversity, earns you customer trust and loyalty.
To be fair to Escort, she did say that she put a note in my ZW5 file that the return date for my ZW5 “asking” that the return window for my ZW5 be extended, because of the RL360 ship situation. That was all she said she could do. (Candidly, I believe her).
I was originally an Escort and Passport product owner. I switched to Valentine about 20 years ago because of the upgrade platform of the V1. This 20 year Valentine customer just decided to switch back to Escort because of the upgrade platform of RL360c and the truly excellent information here on Vortex. However, I’m now starting to rethink my decision. So, I just placed an order for a V1G2. Any one want to bet on which detector arrives first?
One would think that with the “problematic” launch of the RL360c, Escort would want to give customers a reason to be patient and to stay with their product offering. Nope.
@Jonathan,
Sorry you were on eternal hold for customer service as well as the detector, only to still get no help. I for one appreciate you taking the time to advise us of how they are handling the demand.
It appears everyone is bombarding them to get more information right now on their backordered RL360C eta’s. I agree strongly that they need to keep their CSR’s informed so they can in turn pass along valid helpful information.
Someone there has access to the information if they want it bad enough.
Surprised no one is scalping theirs on eBay yet, if anyone other than the advance beta testers, such as Vortex has one yet. Maybe Vortex knows or can get some info?
