Radenso is introducing Artificial Intelligence in their upcoming line of radar detectors. Combined with significantly better hardware and developed by extremely talented engineers, this should lead to the creation of the best radar detector on the market… by a mile. It’ll be named Theia.
Here’s a few benefits you can expect from Theia:
- Zero BSM falses!
- Classification of radar guns telling you which make and model radar gun the officer is using
- Filters out door openers, no GPS lockouts required
- Artificial intelligence can learn to recognize new BSM’s and radar guns to quickly and easily adapt to new signals over time
- Significantly longer range than anything else on the market
- Can alert you to instant on radar being used specifically
- Detects MRCD, MRCT, Gatso, Mesta Fusion, etc.
- Great detector for not only in North America, but also internationally
- Modular design allows for easy changing of components as Radenso upgrades their radar detector over time
- Open API
Watch this video from SEMA where I talk with Jon Dandrow, Radenso’s President, and we learn all about the new Radenso Artificial Intelligence (Rai) and her capabilities.
Next, to better understand how the AI is able to recognize and classify signals, here’s a video going over artificial intelligence and machine learning.
For those of you who’d like to take a deeper technical look at Theia, what the detector is able to see when looking closely at a signal, and how it works, watch this video with Rob, Radenso’s passionate RF / DSP engineer.
Finally, here’s the answers to many frequently asked questions about Theia. What happens if there’s a signal that it hasn’t been trained on? Will it be RDD immune? Will it be good internationally? All this and more is covered in this last video with Jon.
This sounds seriously amazing and hopefully Theia lives up to these sky high expectations.

I can only imagine this little baby is going to cost. $$$$$$$
So they said the release date would be next year? Is there an estimated time next year, beginning, middle, end? When you sit down with them at the end of the week could you ask them about the availability of mounting options for us OCD people who don’t like clutter or things hanging from their windshield obstructing the field of vision? Not to mention the guaranteed ticket you’ll receive from a LEO if pulled over for any infraction, or the threat of theft for such a high end detector being able to be seen in clear view from outside the vehicle? Grateful for your continued efforts to keep us updated!
V/r,

Can you get an idea if stealth to RDDs?
W old you plz ask if it would be later in size or equal to the V1? Thank you
Joe val
Vortex that’s larger not later
Who, .the heck, wants to know what type of radar gun is being used?

Enthusiasts who can use that information to understand the capabilities of the officer’s gun, which department they’re with, if they’re likely on the highway or on a nearby surface street (if city cops and highway patrol use different guns), and so forth. Plus having that degree of signal classification makes the detector even more confident that it’s a legitimate source, even if you choose to have the detector not show you that information.
Wow, if this actually works this well, to NEVER get a false and have at least pro m range this will be insane. Computer died a few weeks ago, haven’t been on rdf since, hate using the phone. Just checked out your blackfriday deals, browsed the site and seen this. Wonder what the price tag is going to be? If they could keep it at escorts 5-600 range noone would buy any other detector. Havent made it as far to see if it’s rdd imune, i would hope if it can do what they say it does. If it’s this hi tech, maybe theycould incorporate laser jammer abilities with my idea of setti g a speed for the officer to get, ie in a 65 set it to 69 and have that be what they get. Maybe someday
A whole new way to detect/analyze. That sounds like a lot of software stuff going on. If it actually works as designed and has thereliability to last for a decent amount of years on a dash in florida sun or minus 30 in wi, should be sweet. Nevermind on the 600, probably be rcm max ci level pricing. Might be out of my wallets range but we shall see
I just bought the Pro M and I asked there sales people if anything was in the pipeline they naturally told me no.Can you ask if they will be pro rating customers who just brought their product. Thankyou

I seriously doubt they’ll be doing that. The Pro M is not going to be discontinued. Theia will simply be their top end detector and the XP/Pro M will continue to be sold alongside Theia for those who want a detector at a lower pricepoint.
Hi vortex
I find it very hard to believ that the new radenso will be significantly more sensitive than the uniden R 7.
As mentioned above “significantly longer range than anything else on the market”
Do you believe that suddenly the new radenso detectors will crush the R7 & the R1 ?
If so i will definitely buy one but im a little sceptic about it.
another thing is i guess that the V1 is gone forever as no way that for 9 months its out of stock.
Thanx

Understandable. We’ll wait and see how it fares in testing once the detector is released. For now all we have is what Radenso is telling us.
Thanx Vortex
The only thing that make sens is if the radenso detector will be 100% immune (That would be crazy) vs falls alerts then they could design it to be super sensitive but then it can’t be too superwide sensitive as it would alert to real radar guns that are located on far parallel roads. still but less of a problam on Ka bands.
OR….you could just run with X and K off like I have for the last 14 years without negative consequence. The odds of hitting K are about as good as hitting MRCD.
Author
Depends on where you drive. Some places use X and K band very rarely while others use it frequently. Same with MRCD. Settings that are great for one area may not be appropriate in another area.
Hello Vortex! Thank you for the work you do! Do you know if Theia will have directional arrows? Many thanks in advance!

Sure will!
I get the feeling RADENSO’S THEIR IS ALL BLOW AND NO GO. THEY TALK THE TALK BUT DON’T SHOW ANY SIGNS OF WALK THE WALK. My guess they ran into many issues and will not deliver what they stated their unit could do. With Uniden, Valentine one, and Escort detectors as good as they are why would you need THEIA. My UNIDEN R 7 picked up police ka band radar 3.5 miles away on the NY THRUWAY yesterday why would anyone want more than that???
They said they are having supply issues due to COVID. I’m waiting to see pricing before I make a decision. Hopefully it will out by the time winter ends and the toy comes out of the garage.
