There’s a new set of laser jammers coming out soon called the TMG Alpha-15. (Though they may wind up being renamed once they’re officially released.) What’s special about them is that they’re showing tremendous potential so far in development including being able to jam the latest DragonEye guns while costing a fair amount less than the AntiLaser Priority.

Interview with Escort Radar
Last week I flew out to West Chester, Ohio to meet up with Escort. Lots of you guys have had questions about their products, updates, and customer service, just like I did, so I met up with them to talk about their different products, how things are going, and how things are going to improve.
Here’s the full interview. (Just below the video you’ll find the outline of topics discussed and when they are discussed in the video if you’d like to jump to any topic.)

Tour of Escort Radar
Escort recently invited me out to their facility in West Chester, Ohio. It was a great experience and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Getting to geek out was one of my favorite parts. I felt like a kid in a candy store. 🙂
Come take a look at various areas with Escort including where the Max Ci 360 and iX Ci are built and tested, where the products are engineered and designed, where the customer service is handled, and where products returned for repair are taken care of.

Radenso Pro M vs. Uniden R3
The Radenso Pro M is a really impressive radar detector. It usually sits in the shadow of the Uniden R3, but several things have changed recently that have me taking another look at the detector and asking myself if it could be a better choice than the R3. For many people, I think it very well could be.

Escort ZW5 Laser Shifter Initial Impressions
This past Thursday I installed the Escort ZW5’s onto my wife’s car for a trip that we planned out for this weekend and sure enough, we headed out Friday and had our first encounter with the new setup. We ran into an officer who tagged us with the PL4.

Waylens Secure360 Dashcam vs. the Viofo A119 vs. the Blackvue DR900S-2CH
So for the past few weeks I’ve been running the new Waylens Secure360 dashcam. I’m going to start working on my review of the dashcam today and wanted to share a quick clip with you guys comparing it with the budget Viofo A119 and the 4K Blackvue DR900S-2CH from a laser save that I had yesterday thanks to the AntiLaser Priority laser jammer.
First up, here’s the Secure360’s front/rear view. I like the 360 degree perspective, plus the fact that you can see me jump in my seat a little when the ALP goes off (haha, the shot was totally unexpected) and you can see me reach to JTK so that’s cool. Video quality itself is pretty bad though and the camera is also extremely susceptible to flare given that the sun hits the lens directly from almost every angle in the sky.

Escort ZW5 Wireless Laser Shifter Review
The Escort ZW5 wireless laser shifters are a unique set of laser jammers. (Escort refers to jammers as “shifters,” but they’re the same thing.) The special thing about these jammers is that they wirelessly communicate to an Escort radar detector on your windshield without having to run any wireless through your vehicle’s firewall.
The benefit of having a wireless setup like this is it makes the installation simpler. Without having to run any cables through your vehicle’s firewall as you would with a wired jammer, installation is easier, faster, and cheaper, plus there’s less potential drilling you’ll need to do to your vehicle. Otherwise the functionality and performance is (mostly) the same as a traditional wired jammer.
Escort ZW5 Pros
- Wirelessly communicates with your radar detector on your windshield
- No running cables through your vehicle’s firewall necessary
- Installation is easier and cheaper than a wired jammer
- No dedicated control pad necessary to install in your cabin
- Effective against most laser guns on the market including many DragonEye guns
- Updatable via USB
- Available in both a cig. lighter and directwire version
- Price is comparable to the competition ($849)
Escort ZW5 Cons
- Limited to 2 heads max, so best suited to small vehicles
- Protection available for the front of your vehicle only, not for the rear
- You must bring your computer out to your car to update
- No indication of which laser gun you’re being shot with
- Excessively long alert latch makes it impossible to know when you’re no longer being targeted
- Not automatic disarming of the jammers, they must be disabled manually

Stinger to release All Fiber Laser Jammers
Stinger just announced on their website that they’re going to be releasing laser jammers that use fiber optics for not just the transmitters like they do now, but also for the receivers. This is pretty awesome news. Check out how small the fibers are compared to the ALP head (right) or even Stinger’s normal receiver (left).
